You have to visit Momofuku Noodle Bar if you live in, or even pass through, New York.  It consistently receives a lot of hype, but it lives up to every word. The problem, however, is that when first timers go to Momofuku they without fail, order the wrong thing and then they look over to me with “food envy.”  It’s time to put a stop to this, please read this cheat sheet and be well prepared for your first visit.

Remember…

1. SHARE EVERYTHING. Do not order more than one of any dish unless you are with a large group.

2. Try ALL of the below.

Pork Buns: Topped with hoisin, scallions and cucumbers. Make sure to try it with sriacha (the hot sauce sitting on the counter).

Chilled Spicy Noodles: Served with Sichuan spiced sausage, spinach and candied cashews.

Momofuku Ramen: Pork belly, pork shoulder and a poached egg.

And a Seasonal Vegetable:  Brussels sprouts are always a win.
